“Welcome To The Show is an anthem about facing precisely who you are and OWNING it. Its intended as a mantra to inspire strength and PRIDE. Soon after recording the song a couple of months ago, I felt quite compelled to generate a video to additional communicate it’s which means.

I notice such diversity in my audiences when I’m on tour: Young, old, male, female, Trans, Gay, Straight, White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, and every stunning in-amongst. The common bond is that they are all HUMAN BEINGS. No matter how we identify, the human heart has a universal set of feelings and needs. Certain it is idealistic, but couldn’t we be recognizing our similarities, rather of our differences? It all comes down to Identity. We as a society are obsessed with how to classify and define every particular person. There are new labels invented monthly for how to describe new “types”. In some instances, these labels are needed to empower us and give us clarity, but it seems that at some point, all the categorizing can turn into really divisive.

I’ve seen so a lot of people trapped by the identity they place so a lot effort into sustaining, or shunned by choosing not to. I have fallen into that trap myself. Correct Individuality seems daunting in our age of social media reputation contests. At times it is terrifying to face your correct, complete self, stripped of any pretense. The good, the undesirable, the cracks, and the scars. I am no stranger to the feeling of not liking myself. As soon as I get previous my own body image problems, I understand that I at times also neglect my personal spirit. Living in a globe filled with so a lot hatred at times makes cultivating self-adore a really difficult process. I have constantly struggled with this as I’m certain many of you have.

My path is a type of paradox in that I get to share my craft with the planet, but also be willing to throw myself to the wolves. To dare to be diverse, but still wanting to be accepted. There is vast beauty to be identified in life’s contradictions. This non-binary reality permits us to lead happy, expressive lives, and yet this really freedom comes with great dangers. I’m not alone in this limbo. Through my art, I pledge to bring empathy and courage to any individual who has been produced to feel unworthy or ashamed while daring to be themselves.  This is the initial time I’ve created my personal music video. With the assist of my friend and long- time collaborator Lee Cherry, we set out to co-direct one thing notably honest. I spoke with Laleh (the brilliant songwriter who is featured on the song) and we agreed on the vulnerability we wanted captured on screen. I feel the much more we as artists share ourselves openly, the much more an individual out there may possibly really feel inspired to do the same. I also felt a strong feeling of empowerment in creating this video independent of the label method. It was time to shoot this one particular on my personal. This video is not about selling a song, or product placement, or racking up viral views. This is intended merely as a inventive expression.

What resulted on set came from a quite free of charge and organic headspace that permitted me to connect with the camera as if it were every individual who’s supported me over the last 7 years. This video is a thank you to all of you who have lined up to see the Original Higher Globe Tour. To every person who has listened and shared my songs and given me the objective to keep moving forward. It’s a thank you to all of you who pick to accept and Enjoy who YOU are! We hold each other up! I want you to maintain celebrating specifically who you are, even if you don’t fit into the worlds concepts of what they feel you ought to be. Take your flaws in stride, nurture your talents, take pride in your Queerness, and share all the love you have. — Adam Lambert.”
