False Lights, and Martin & Eliza Carthy are the very first acts to be confirmed for next summer’s Beverley Folk Acoustic Roots Festival which takes place for a 33rd year from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th June 2017 returning again to Beverley Racecourse.
Positioned in the shadow of historic Beverley Minster, Beverley Folk Festival promises three nights & 2 days of music, dance, comedy, spoken word, events & workshops for all, craft stalls, True Ale, camping and far more.
Expect more than 80 acts in total this year. More artists for Beverley Folk Festival’s 2017 line-up will be announced over the coming weeks. The Summer season Sizzler is the best deal at present available, with ticket rates set to rise by the end of summer, so the guidance from event organisers is for festival-goers to get them whilst they are hot.
Matt Snowden, voluntary festival chairman, explained, “We know the 2016 festival was only a few weeks away, but we’re already working challenging to make certain 2017 will be one more hit. To date, we can currently confirm living folk legend Martin Carthy and his equally talented daughter Eliza Carthy are set to perform, as properly as False Lights, one of the hottest folk rock groups on the scene.
“The Summer time Sizzler ticket deal enables you to encounter everything the festival has to offer. This year we had over one hundred artists and groups performing, from massive names like Kate Rusby and Steeleye Span, to some of the greatest young artists on the festival scene. We want 2017 to be even greater, especially as it will take location throughout Hull’s year as City of Culture – we want to play our portion in assisting to mark this great opportunity for not just the city, but also Beverley and wider East Riding region.”

An early bird weekend ticket with camping is priced at £105 or £85 for a weekend without camping, and £115 for a reside in car. Tickets for youngsters aged 11 and under are cost-free. With booking charges to be added to these rates.
