We are thrilled to introduce you to the newest video from Canadian shoegaze/nu-psych outfit, Slow Down Molasses. The visuals to their storming new single, ‘Moon Queen’ can be viewed exclusively on Gigwise below.

Their guitars develop an atmospheric wall of sound afflicted with paranoia that nods to My Bloody Valentine. Meanwhile, the tastefully reverb-caked vocals resemble The Horrors, and the visceral drums drive items along with a lethal quantity of challenging-hitting punk rock energy.

The video’s theme revolves around man’s loneliness, and inability to deal with the basics in life as a string of nightmarish events play out around him. The film does nicely to portray a warped dream in such detail and suggests how depression permeates the sub-conscious.

The band are scheduled for a number of UK tour dates, including an look at the trustworthy indie festival, End Of The Road, which is the most significant UK show of their career so far. And although they are a single of the smaller bands on the bill, do not beneath estimate their prospective reside – they must be on your should-see list if you’re heading down.

‘Moon Queen’ is taken from their album, 100% Sunshine, which was created by Chad Munson and mixed by Tony Doogan (Mogwai, Belle &amp Sebastien) and is set for release on two September. This is their very first complete length considering that final year’s Burnt Black Cars.
